Terms and Conditions

1. Correct Details

1.1 Candidates must ensure that their full name, postal address, and email address are accurate and up to date before applying for any examination.

1.2 Candidates can check and update this information by logging into MyICB or contacting ICB Member Services on 0203 405 4000.

2. Candidate Responsibilities – Home-Based Examinations

2.1 ICB is not responsible for internet connectivity issues, computer malfunctions, or any technical problems arising from the candidate's personal equipment.

2.2 Candidates must ensure they have access to appropriate software (if required) a reliable internet connection, a compatible device, and sufficient time to complete the examination within the allotted timeframe before applying for an exam.

2.3 It is the candidate’s responsibility to thoroughly check their answers before submitting their work.

3. Candidate Responsibilities – Invigilated Examinations

3.1 The Level 3 M8 examination is remotely invigilated. Candidates must complete the system check provided at the time of booking to ensure compatibility and avoid technical issues during the exam.

3.2 Candidates are required to present valid, in-date identification that matches the name on their ICB account. For details on accepted forms of ID, please refer to the M8 Exam and ID Information.

3.3 Failure to present the correct ID may result in the cancellation of the exam without refund.

4. Results and Certificates

4.1 Qualification certificates will be issued within 28 days of the candidate's results being authorised by ICB.

4.2 Certificates will display the candidate’s full name as it appears in their MyICB online account.

4.3 If the name is incorrect or not displayed as the candidate wishes, they must contact ICB at 0203 405 4000 before completing the exam.

4.4 If changes are required after the certificate is issued, a replacement certificate fee of £25.00 will apply.

5. Lost or Damaged Certificates

5.1 Certificates are official records of qualification. If they are lost or damaged, they can be replaced for a fee of £25.00. Replacement certificates will be marked as 'Copy' for security purposes.

6. Authenticity of Work

6.1 All examination work must be completed solely by the candidate.

6.2 Candidates are prohibited from seeking assistance from ICB staff, tutors, or online forums while completing their examination. Sharing examination questions on any public or private platform is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification.

6.3 Candidates may be required to sign an Own Work Declaration confirming that the submitted work is their own. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the invalidation of the examination.
